Vented Fireplace

Gas fireplaces can be direct vent, natural vent or vent free.

Direct vent gas fireplaces can be vented horizontally through an outside wall or vertically through the roof depending on application.  It's economical to install without the added expenses of a chimney.  Click here for a detailed description of direct venting.

The balanced flue system eliminates the heat loss associated with conventional chimneys.  Sealed combustion Direct Venting draws all combustion air from the exterior of your home eliminating the use of room air without affecting indoor air quality.

There are many options including remote control units, wall switches and wall-mounted thermostats.  Most units can be purchased for natural gas or propane.  Most products meet or exceed the P4 efficiency standards for Canada and the DOE standards for the United States.  Most are also approved for bedroom use.
