Today's designers are using concrete masonry units regularly. Here are some tips on placing an order for customized concrete masonry units:
- Check for changes of colors of units. It is common to have more than one color of the same size unit on the job. Accent bands and panels are becoming increasingly popular.
- Check the
shape guide
for what units are made. Special shapes not on this Web site may be impractical, if not impossible, to manufacture. Check with the sales department for what can be fabricated.
Allow ample time for processing your order -- about 3 weeks. Units are usually handled or split three-four times before becoming job-ready.
Order all fittings/shapes to be delivered at the beginning of the job. It is desirable to work from one run to assure better color uniformity.
Double-check your quantities. Since specialty concrete blocks are customized for each order, we must charge for each unit ordered. This assures the finest quality with the lowest overall cost.
